I didn't read all your comments here and probably someone said so already, but of course (!!) Nikon has full frame, too! 
... "starting" with the D700, followed by D3, D3x and (since shortly) the D3s. 
... nice tutorial, very helpful for beginners! 
... I don't think whether poeple would miss the reason "why" the DOF becomes smaller referring to the named reasons, but that might become too technical for most people.
